JayaMae Gregory was introduced to the art and discipline of horseback riding at the age of 5, when her mother took her for her first lesson. As a child, she rode on the East Coast, in New England, as a hunter-jumper rider. When she graduated high school, she began teaching beginner lessons at a barn in Anaheim Hills, California, in order to earn free lessons for herself. She has trained with Brian Bodarke of Brookhaven Farm in Chico, California. Currently, she is working with David Lichman, a licensed 5-star Parelli Natural Horsemanship instructor, who specializes in gaited horses. She also takes private lessons with Sheri Balken of Paradise, CA.

JayaMae is a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a friend. She is currently a double major at California State University, Chico, where she is primarily studying Nursing, Health Education, and Religion. She is a published poet, and author, featured in a collection of short stories titled Promoting Intergenerational Health. Jaya has worked extensively with children of all different backgrounds, through animal and art therapy. Last year, she founded the nonprofit organization, Spirit Quilts.
Jaya does not consider herself a teacher or a trainer, although she is often referred to as such. She has a hunger for knowledge and finds out every day that she is just who she wants to be - a student. Her passion is simply to share and pass on her love for horses and her love of art.
There is no human relationship that could ever take the place of the relationship she has with her horse - it is unique, it is special, and communication is done without words, but with feelings.
Jennifer Ferrini began horseback riding at age 9. She is currently a Level 2 Parelli Natural Horsemanship Graduate. A few years ago, she attended a Level 3 camp in Colorado with her Morgan mare, Zephyr. She and Zephyr learned right along side Pat Parelli for 3 weeks.
Jen is an animal lover and animal rights advocate. She currently has one horse, one pony, 3 goats, several dogs and cats, approximately 35 fish, 2 frogs, and 50+ chickens. She is also interested in environmental sustainability, and maintains her own organic garden.
Jen has her own business - a family daycare her friends call "Zen Bootcamp." Her philosophies are all about learning through play and letting kids get dirty while they explore the outdoors!
Jennifer Ferrini lives in Chico, where she spent much of her childhood. In 1989, she graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. She is the proud mother of two sons, Kiran and Elias, and one daughter, Desi.
