Teaching Simple Horseback Riding Skills to Kids
Lightfoot Horse Farm, located in Northern California, is managed by JayaMae Gregory. Jaya's family includes two exceptional horsewomen, from whom Jaya has gained much of her horse sense. Jaya's mother learned to ride from her mother, who fell in love with horses as a very young girl, when her father brought home a mare he paid $20 for at a horse auction. The year was 1918. The horse was Lightfoot.

This website was created as a tool for parents and their children to become more familiar with horses and the wonderful world of riding! Learn about our lessons here.

I also have a variety of horse products available for purchase on this site to enhance your riding experience, all of which have my highest recommendation. A portion of the proceeds from sales made through this website will go to fund Ann Byrns' walk across America with Winnie, the Wild Mustang (see Walking with Winnie for more information).
